Dear Oscar,it is FANTASTIC! These illustrations of famous artists from the book called "Russian school of painting" of the artist and writer Alexander Benua .All illustrations (what he use like example)looks exactly the same like in the original version of the book published in 1904. It is interesting, that pictures are printed in the book monochrome, but I think they look even better in my opinion. I shall continue this fantastic art mix.
The painting by the French artist mentioned above and the cave men here remind me of images the dream sequence of Petrov's The Dream of a Ridiculous Man, Сон смешного человека (Son smeshnovo cheloveka)
Pity,I can't remember this Petrov's film.I mean the dream sequence . I'll need to watch it again. Interesting thing when you live the comment about Petrov first time in my blog the same day i see in the news about this film "My love".They are told that it is film of year.

I think there is a VERY large painting of the flight of Cain by this artist in the Musee D'Orsay, in Paris.
